Day 1
Dibrugrah Airport
Arrival at Dibrugarh Airport, Assam, transfer to Tinsukia Hotel, depending on flight timing if time permits afternoon session of birding around Maguri beel, overnight stay in Tinsukia.
Day 2
Tinsukia – Dehing – Patkai – Roing
Morning birding around Soraipung (Dehing-Patkai), Soraipung range of Dehing-Pataki is primary lowland rain forest, The park inhabits the amazing Gray Peacock Pheasant, White-cheeked Partridge, rare Pale-capped Pigeon, Ashy-headed Green Pigeons, Ruddy Kingfisher, Dwarf Kingfisher, Blue-eared Kingfisher, Rufous-throated Fulvetta , Austin Brown Hornbill, the forest pond also supports the rare White-winged Duck .After morning session of birding head to Roing. On arrival at Roing and depending upon time a session of evening birding in Jia Grassland for Black-breasted Parrotbill, Marsh Babbler , Spot-throated Scimitar Babbler , Jorden’s Babbler . Overnight stay in Roing.
Day 3
Roing – Mayodia
The day we start to ascend the Mishmi hills birding in the lower bamboo forest of 12 Km looking out for some bamboo-dependent species like the Pale-billed Parrotbill, White-hooded Babbler, Red-billed Scimitar Babbler, Gray-headed Parrotbill, Collared Treepie, Rufous-face Warblers, Yellow-bellied and Yellow-vented Warblers, Spot-throated Babbler. Later part of the morning session birding around Tiwari- gaon for the rare Beautiful Nuthatch, Green Cochoa, Cacher-wedged Billed Babbler along with common species like Long-tailed Sibia, Golden – throated Barbet, Gray-chinned Minivets, Sultan Tit, Streak Spiderhunter, Rufous-backed Sibia, and many more birds. Overnight stay in Mayodia.
Day 4 & 5
Mayodia – Mayodia Pass – Hunli
We will use Mayodia coffee house as the base and bird around Mayodia pass, 65KM, road to Hunli for many of Mishimi star species like the beautiful Blyth’s Tragopan, near endemic Mishmi Wren Babbler, beautifully arrowed marked Gould’s Shortwing, rare and skulker Rusty-bellied Shortwing, Himalayan Shortwing, Bar-winged Wren Babbler, Sclater’s Monal (possible only in winter Nov- Dec), Ward’s Trogon, Streak-throated Barwing, Purple Cochoa (May), Green Cochoa, Beautiful Nuthatch, Long-billed Wren Babbler, Yellow-rumped Honeyguide, Manipur(Streak-throated) Fulvetta, Golden-breasted Fulvetta, Black–throated Parrotbill, Fulvous Parrotbill, Black-headed Shrike Babbler, Slender-billed Scimitar Babbler, Himalayan Owl and many more.Overnight stay in Mayodia coffee house.
Day 6
Mayodia – Tiwari Gaon – Roing
Morning birding around Mayodhia to Tiwari gaon overnight stay in Roing.
Day 7
Roing – Maio
After the morning session of birding around Jia grassland head to Maio.
Day 8 & 9
Maio – Deban Camp – Namdhpa NP
We will spend a total of two full days birding in Namdapha National Park 1985 sq. Km area making it the largest protected area in Arunachal, Namdapha NP has evergreen lowland rain forest to hill forest as we ascend towards Vijaynagar. Namdapha NP is rich in all aspects of flora and fauna. We will be birding mostly on the road to Vijaynagar looking out for species like the rare Snowy-throated Babbler only reported from Namdhpa from India, the rare White-tailed Flycatcher, Eye-browed Wren Babbler, Streaked Wren Babbler, White-hooded Babbler, Pale-billed Parrotbill, Gray-headed Parrotbill, Brown-crowned Scimitar babbler, Collared Treepie, Gray Peacock Pheasant, Great, Oriental pied, Rufous-necked, Wreathed Hornbills, White-crowned & Spotted Forktail, Red-headed Trogon, Rufous-vented Laughingthrush, Austin Brown Hornbill, Blue-naped Pitta and many more. Overnight stay in Deban Camp.
Day 9
Deban Camp – Maio – Tinsukia
After the morning session of birding head to Maio and Tinsukia, Overnight stay in Tinsukia.
Day 10
Paykyoung
Birding in surround forest of Pakyoung for Spot-bellied Eagle Owl, Sultan Tit, Green Magpie and low elevation bird species. Overnight Stay in Pakyoung.
Day 11
Tinsukia – Dibru saikwhoa NP
On this day we will explore the grassland of Dibru Saikwhoa NP for the missing bird species from Jia grassland along with other waterbirds (in winter).
Day 12
Tinsukia – Airport Drop
Farewell and Conclusion of the Tour.
